Most comfortable seats I have ever owned. (You can play too)

I'm usually really good at this, but what car is this?
![]() 10/09/2014 at 18:57 |

The clue is in the name.

Touche. I don't know Citroens for my life though. #usaproblems

I came out a bit dick-ish sorry haha, wasn't my intention! It's a C5.

Citroen are good, but Volvo and Saab do better.
![]() 10/09/2014 at 19:16 |

But I have never owned one.
![]() 10/09/2014 at 19:19 |

Yeah, but isn't sharing opinions what the internet is for?
![]() 10/09/2014 at 19:26 |

Can I play too? These are the comfiest I've owned.
![]() 10/09/2014 at 19:27 |

Of course, everyone can!

Citroen C5?
![]() 10/09/2014 at 19:32 |

Not my WRX but the seats I had. Every other car i've owned has rather uncomfortable seats. 350Z especially. These I could drive hundreds of miles with no back pain.

Yeah
![]() 10/09/2014 at 19:36 |

The Volvo and the DTS were both good, but a) not technically mine, and b) not as comfy as mine:
![]() 10/09/2014 at 19:44 |

I must imagine they are. Adjustable in how many ways?
![]() 10/09/2014 at 19:45 |

I was driven in one from Switzerland to France, incredible.

The Recaro seats from an european Focus ST on my 98 Rustang.

Is that a SEAT?
![]() 10/09/2014 at 20:18 |
|
I dunno. They go up and down, lean forwards and backwards, tip forwards and backwards, move forwards and backwards, and the headrests and lumbar are power.

My trans am has the most comfortable seats I've ever been in. Sure the foam is 35 years old but good god are they comfy.

This was not my interior. Though, this is pretty awesome. But I did multiple cross country stints in my IS300 (including Houston to Minneapolis in one day) and never actually had to stop except for gas. Everyone fell asleep in them too.

Citroen C5

I sat in a C6 once, in a car show... I wanted to sleep in it, badly.
All praise Citroën, the comfort lord!

9-way then, probably.

Side support looks great.

Any pictures?
![]() 10/09/2014 at 21:04 |

I can't find any good pictures, but I swear to God that the seats in my '96 Achieva were the most comfortable things that ever had the misfortune to cradle my food exit. I have had a million cars before or since, but those things were the Deans peanuts. Shitty car..rad seats.

Ugh, kinja killed it. Try this one:

Lemme google it

According to the internet, they are 14-way. Which means a few ways I have yet to discover. Ejector seat, perhaps?

The must be a secret red button somewhere.

Ah, pardon my ingenuity haha, sorry.

It's all good! It was a bad joke.

The buckets in our Wrangler are fucking amazing. They're designed to compensate for the Jeep's (lack of) suspension, as well as the side-to-side rocking you get while offroading. What results is a seat base that's like 5 inches thick, all cushion, and meaty bolsters that would be at home on a sports car. They're also made of Goretex or something similar so they don't soak up water like a sponge and they dry incredibly fast. If we ever scrap the Wrangler I fully intend to keep the seats and make chairs out of them.

Saab 9000 Aero............
![]() 10/09/2014 at 23:54 |

Not a problem at all haha. Damn that's a good looking car. And those seats look quite nicely bolstered!
![]() 10/10/2014 at 00:26 |

Way too cool!
![]() 10/10/2014 at 13:47 |
|
Yeah, they weren't bad! My favorite part was how much rake you could get in the legs which allowed me to kinda make the seats a V shape. I'm 5'8" and 155 lbs, so Japanese car seats (especially Toyota) are perfect for me.
![]() 10/10/2014 at 17:28 |

Were these seats used in other cars? I remember seeing them, but not in a Jeep.
![]() 10/10/2014 at 22:44 |

For these exact ones I'd have to say no, seeing as how they have "Jeep" patterned center panels but the design is pretty generic, I'm sure most makes have used something similar in the past.
